Quantification of Test Item and Metabolites in Biological Matrices
The MSF is an academic core facility that is part of the IN-MOL-CELL infrastructure housed at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB) in Warsaw, Poland. We work with cutting-edge mass spectrometers (MS) coupled to liquid chromatography systems (LC).
For data generation, we utilize two high-speed, ultra-sensitive and versatile mass spectrometers with high-resolution analyzers, alternative MS/MS fragmentation techniques (CID/ETD/EThcD), and high mass ranges, enhanced by ion mobility modules (TIMS/FAIMS). Depending on the application, the mass spectrometers are coupled to one of three nanoLC or UHPLC chromatography systems or operated in direct infusion mode. Our instrument park includes a Bruker timsUltra AIP coupled to an UltiMate 3000RSLC and a Thermo Fisher Scientific Orbitrap Excedion Pro BioPharma coupled to a Vanquish Neo nano-LC or Vanquish Horizon UHPLC (all purchased in 2025).
We are a young and rapidly developing facility. As of May 2026, we offer protein identification (from gel bands or in solution), bottom-up proteomics, and interactomics services. We are also currently developing additional services, including PTM analysis, crosslinking, metabolomics, and intact (native) analysis.
